Manwhole is a peer-support organization, not a professional counseling or therapy service. Any advice or information shared is based on personal experience, not professional expertise. Meetings are not therapy or counseling and are not a substitute for professional, medical, mental, health, or emergency care. Participants are encouraged to seek professional help for any of these concerns. Participation is voluntary. Confidentiality is respected, except where there is a concern for the immediate safety of other persons or yourself, as required under Oregon law. Manwhole is committed to respectful, inclusive, and non-discriminatory dialogue, and everyone is welcome.
Our mission is to support men’s emotional well-being by creating safe, respectful spaces rooted in listening, open discussion, mutual respect, meaningful support, and perseverance. We encourage men to speak openly, seek help without stigma, and take steps toward healthier outcomes.

Manwhole exists to help men face the challenges they carry—often silently.
Men are expected to be strong, self-reliant, and unshakable. Yet beneath that expectation are very real struggles that many men experience but rarely talk about. Mental health, relationships, family pressures, physical health, finances, addiction, identity, and purpose are common challenges—but too often, men face them alone. Manwhole was created to help change that.
We provide a safe, respectful space where men can talk openly, be heard, and ask for help without shame or judgment. Through connection, conversation, and support, we help men navigate life’s hardest moments and learn that struggling does not mean failing—it means being human.
At Manwhole, we believe leadership begins with listening. Healing begins with honesty. And strength is found not in silence, but in the courage to speak up and accept support. By encouraging open dialogue and community, we help men build healthier relationships, make better decisions, and move forward with confidence and resilience.
Our mission is simple but powerful:
Helping men ask for help.
Manwhole is committed to respectful, inclusive, and non-discriminatory dialogue, and everyone is welcome.

A few years ago, I was at a Starbucks in downtown Portland when I noticed two women having a conversation at a nearby table and they were both in tears. So, I got up from my seat, grabbed a few napkins from the condiment bar and walked over to their table. After I handed them the napkins, they smiled and thanked me. When I got back to my seat, it dawned on me that you never see guys having those types of conversations. I thought to myself, why not?
